Yes I did clean it first. You can feel/ see the pitting. Its just on one bearing, and just on about 5 or 6 rollers.

The race just kinda floats, remove the adjuster and tap it out towards the inside of the housing. Some times they just fall out. I've done a couple front diff rebuilds, post any question you may have.
