So far the fans are doing great. I haven't had it get hot on me once, and it's pretty hot in south GA. How much are looking to get for the wheels?

I purchased this Rocket Box off Craigslist for dirt cheap. I had to get one after I went snowboarding with a friend who used one. It's very convenient when you have 4 people with gear; boards go up top and the rest of the gear in back. The cargo box is also good storage for fishing rods.

Does the box hit the window when the hatch is open? Looks like it hangs over pretty good.

I can open the glass hatch with no problem, but when I open the rear hatch door completely it only opens to about parallel with the ground. I was thinking bout moving it forward more, but I would have to drill more holes in the box and I haven't gotten around to messing with it.

I've been trying to think of a way I can mount some lights up top that won't interfere when I put the box up there. Maybe mount some spacers under the box so it would clear a homemade light bar (like the ones mentioned in previous threads) with lights on either side of the box?

Any ideas?

If you have to re-drill a little silicone should work. If that doesn't seem tight enough you can always put a nut/bolt in the hole with silicone.

It is hard to tell how lights would fit on the front from the pics.
From looking at some online examples a lot of those rocket boxes are 24" wide, I think our rails are ~44 inches wide so you should have room for a light on either side. Make sure you allow enough room in case the lights build up heat.

Another thought is if you used like 2 stalks of aluminum and ran them lengthwise the box, that would raise the box up, and allow you to use your existing holes. It might give you enough space for another light or two in the center. Raising the box would give you more drag and maybe more noise. You'll just have to see how things match up and play with it a little bit to see what works.
You might also be able to find some kind of decent low profile light that might help with your plans.

While you are running those wires, think about lights for the rear. With my hunting/fishing/camping I find I need more light in the rear than in the front.

it helps alot with bump steer on the road mainly and also doesnt come anywhere near the oil pan and cross member when stuffed now. also preparing to possibly put in a rear sump oil pan and the front of the pan hangs down 2 1/2 inches, with the straight draglink i would deffinately hit this. i actually have more clearence(for draglink) with the front of the stock pan because it angles up and the aftermarket is made more square.stock panaftermarket
