I actually opted to get 88's. gmpartsdirect.com has them for sale right now. The email I just got says

"Hi,
Part number 15125888 is a special order part and should ship 7-10 business
days from the date of your order. As of 06/22/2013 this part number is not
on backorder.

Thank You,

F Norton"

I've seen that in all of the other posts on here and every other 360 site. So I was very skeptical when I received this email. But I emailed back and he confirmed that their supplier had them. I am still skeptical but I want so badly for them to show up. I would like to know who the "supplier" is who has been sitting on all of these 88's. :wallbash: :viking:

Update: I am being told that the supplier is "direct from GM." I don't know if this is accurate or not but that would mean that 88's are back in production, or a supply of them just turned up.

Another option to possibly look into, I originally posted it in another thread... My home town of Akron, Ohio, has a shop called Stuver Spring. They will make springs to you specifications. They do work for upgraded limos, school buses, and donk-and-bubble boys. Others may possibly have this option, in their location, as well. The same back home was very reasonable. Just say in'.

I'm going to Cleveland in a few weeks, so I may have to entertain this idea for a little while. If anything, it's more choices for us here.

Call them before you head up. The last I remember, it was first come, first served. You had to wait in line, but the wait time was reasonable. Think Black Friday, but the line moves. You also had to have your ride on hand. I'd probably plan for a down time of 3 hrs, with vehicle, or less. I was mainly just using this, as an example, that local places might be able to provide, as well.
