at ~$150 each new, that's a great deal on a good tire.

Yeah and let me tell you, this prick on Saturday morning emails me with "How about $100 cash"

So I don't reply to that.

Then he emails me about an hour later with "How about $200 cash"

So I replied back and said "Sorry, $350 firm."

He writes back, "Sorry man most I can do is $250 cash, and I have to drive there"

I don't reply.

This exchange took place early around 10am. Then around 6pm he emails me again and say "So you going to do the $250 cash tonight?"

I write back and say "I can do $350 tonight"

And he writes back with this brillant statement

"Nah man, that's just not even worth it. For that I can get brand new aftermarket rims and tires, plus I have to drive an hour. I imagine you'll have these for a long while"

Another, nicer gentleman came and bought them this morning without a peep and gladly paid my reasonable price.

I emailed the other guy a photo of the buyer loading them in his truck and told him, good luck with new tires and rims. I hate cheap a-holes.

I have better luck selling things under $200 on CL. And better luck buying things. Anytime I list something over $200 I get all the crack pots.

I buy and sell stuff on CL all the time. They most annoying thing is when you are selling something, you give them your address, they are supposed to be there at a certain time and they never show up or answer their phone and you never hear from them again.

Other than that you get folks that want to offer you nothing for the item but I can deal with that. I list stuff for my computer illiterate family all the time.

We just sold 3 Kayaks with no problem. People even made reasonable offers, which was pretty much the lowest we would go. Its a pain to sell on CL though. I've had stuff sit for months and no e-mails or phone calls...

to really move stuff(at least here), you have to price it reasonable and delete/repost the ad every other day.
Folks know how much things are worth and people on CL will rarely overpay for an item. I think a lot of the folks on there are like me, they keep an eye out in a few sections for deals.
