The wait is finally over! Kooks Custom Headers is moving forward with the design and production of the I6 header system for the GMT360 platform. This will be a header and cat system that will replace the problematic cast manifold that has plagued these vehicles. These headers will be made from 304 Stainless steel and will be a Tri-Y design to increase both horsepower and low end torque. There will be a high flow catalytic converter that will connect to the factory exhaust flange as well. To show our appreciation for all the feedback from everyone on the forums, we will be offering the first twenty systems at a deeply discounted price. This deal is on a first come basis so don’t wait or you will miss out. Private Message me for the super low introductory price!

Joe, it sounds like you want to be a vendor.

I would suggest posting the price and not just soliciting members. There will definitely be interest from this community.

I discussed this with The Roadie before I posted this just to make sure that it was not going to be a problem.

I would like too but the price is low enough that at this time Kooks does not want to advertise it publicly at this time. But trust me at this price they won't be available long.

Joe, many of the vendors in your situation would list a price and then say "the first 20 customers get a 20% discount" Or do a group buy where "everyone who signs up by 12/12/12 gets a %15 discount".

Do you have any pictures? Many of your comments mention "will be" as if there is no product yet. As I understand (according to the guidelines) you have to have at least one product on the shelf you can actually sell.

How about at least listing what the price will be after the initial buy? Something to give the members an idea.

Exactly. Others have done a "this is what it'll be after these first few, but PM me for pricing for the first few."

If you're talking about the $50 range, everybody'll be in. If you're talking about the $500 range, some will be in. If you're talking about the $5000 range, nobody will be in.

That's pretty good, I think! The good I6 headers for Jeeps are in the $500 range, and high flow cats are in the $100 range, so to only be $100 more than that on a product that you don't plan on selling a blue million of (like Jeeps) is pretty good!

It is a sweet deal when you consider that you will not have to deal with the cracked manifold, pick up some HP and torq, and a few MPG to the mix for $700. Not a bad deal. Plus a set of stainless headers look a lot better than a rusted manifold.

They all look the same covered in baked-on dirt, but for the cracked stock manifold and for the quanity alone, that's a good price!

I'd be all over it, except I have the 5.3L

Are these bare or coated? I'm assuming bare since they are 304.

Few mpg...really. Show me some proof n you may get a sale. I am not in need of hp or torque.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Truth. A "few mpg" is a 20% plus gain for some of us.

The headers are bare, but we can get them coated by Calico for $350 more.

Have any been built to have any proof of the HP, MPG, or Torque improvement claims?
