If no body has any, they seem to be 14 at a dealer, or dorman makes them , p/n 41000 front of shifter/car or 41001 rear of shifter/car, eBay has a few for 6-7 each

For eight years I've been curious about this situation. Amazed that anybody's inserts could go missing, and amazed that they're so easily found on Ebay for a decent price. They must be just the right size to adhere to some size of soda bottle? They certainly don't stick to any of the cup sizes I've put in mine.

You mean they stick to the container, and whoever cleans the car doesn't notice them when they chuck the container? Wow.

A blob of RTV should cure that. Might obscure the console mounting screws if the TB has them under there like I think the Envoy does.

Mine are all missing, but I bought the TB from parents of a kid who just got a DUI. Im guessing they got tossed when they tried to clean the puke out of the center console shifter area.

Karma suggests you need to pay full dealer list price for your replacements. And apologize to Al Gore.

I grew up with the deposit on soda and beer cans and bottles. By throwing them out the window you were just supporting the local homeless can collectors. Cans rarely lasted a day on the side of the highway.

Our college house had guys fighting over rights to our dumpster. Turf war. It got intense Sunday mornings.

I used adhesive velcro and lined up the tabs. haven't lost an insert (since buying replacements the previous owner threw out)

I'm definitely goin to use the Velcro idea once I get new ones

Yeah throwing it out the window does support the local can collectors and community service people, they need something to do to get their hours

Don't justify littering. There is NO excuse for littering anywhere. Oh, and it's a crime almost everywhere you go too.

Anybody who believes in the Tread Lightly principles believes this wholeheartedly. And I encourage 100%, EVERYBODY, NO EXCEPTIONS, to become Tread Lightly members, in spirit and by example, if not by contributing to the organization. I am not kidding about this.

I'm sort of embarrassed, but a Tread Lightly sticker on my window (plus a massive bunch of contriteness) once convinced a Moab ranger to give we a warning instead of a ticket. I was going faster than he liked on some washboardy tourist trail between real trails. I was aired down, not contributing to additional washboard amplification, but their road grader operator had just given the rangers a briefing about how washboards build up after a grading, so it was fresh in his mind. Of course the road grader was using incorrect physics, I had read a Scientific American article on washboard roads a few years before, but I knew the ranger wasn't in the mood for me to go into Sheldon Cooper mode and instruct him on how washboards REALLY build up. :wallbash:
