Rack and pinion rebuild

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

I posted this on GMTNation, but thought I'd try here too to hear from the "experts." I recently had a leak in my power steering rack and pinion and I am in the process of rebuilding it. I purchased a seal kit from Rockauto and my steering rack is sitting is pieces right now. Does anyone know if grease is used for the bearings and gears or is it all lubed from the power steering fluid? Thanks

Ok so I found the answer to my question but now I have another. When I disassembled my rack and pinion I was finding very fine pieces of what looked like copper. Upon further inspection turns out my rack yoke is pretty worn. I've googled all day, went to Chevy dealer, Napa, called local steering gear shops and no one carries the rack yoke. Do any of the experts here know if/where I can purchase just the rack yoke bearing. Those that are wondering what I'm talking about, this is what it looks like:

It acts as a guide for the rack and holds the rack against the pinion.

Is it beyond the range of adjustment? If not and it is indeed copper, it should be relatively fine if you just clean it up and soak it in some fluid (is it sintered metal by chance?) and reinstall it.

It's worn on one of the upper edges, it's down to the steel backing. I've given up looking for a new one, I'll just have to reinstall the one I have.
