I have no idea what I have on the back.
Not sure if the equation applies to my case, since my springs are already compressed by the extra weight of the heavier engine.

No problem man! I wouldn't think the difference with the heavier engine would be too much... Maybe think of an 86 spring with your engine being the same compressed height as someone with the 4.2 and 85 springs. It'll atleast give you a good idea of how much lift you'd get from each spring. And if I do blow another cv shaft, then I'd be glad to sell you my 87s, but other than that I have no spares...
