Cody you got any trips out to Oregon coming up? ROFL I asked if it would be cheaper to ship to my office but I suspected high shipping cost because of weight.

I'm not sure about the weight equation, I just got a bench shipped to me that weights a 114lbs and paid less in shipping. However, some businesses can get better shipping rates when they do more volume with the major shippers. One of my clients who runs an e-commerce business actually has a 40% discounted shipping rate with UPS he can pass along just becuase of the volume of his orders. It's a number of factors.

I'm excited about these arriving! Can't wait to install them.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Farthest west I've gone has been Ardmore, Oklahoma with work... Otherwise I frequent Indiana, ohio and Illinois the most when I'm not in New England.

Have vacationed to Seattle tho, love the northwest coast :-)

I would like to make it 15...but just curious:

If I get these shipped to my shop (business on Lincoln Highway in Langhorne) - what would shipping look like cost wise; 100-150?

what is shipping running on these things? I would think they would fit in a USPS flat rate box.

I don't think I trust a USPS flat rate box with something this heavy and valuable. Shipping places are brutal on boxes.

maybe that is the key. I figure for the abuse they will take on a truck the mail is nothing more than a mall visit.

If they were to show up on my door step looking as my Z71 springs did "I would be pissed" :viking:

I'd trust neither USPS or FedEx. I work for UPS(not trying to be partial to UPS. Cause every company has their ups and downs) and I can say that the way most packages get damaged is due to the way people handle and load them into the Semi Trailers and how they get the packages when loading the trailer. I load the trailer and thats what it is. I try to keep the light boxes (8lbs to 15lbs) on the top and (20-35lbs) about in the middle,(40lbs to 70lbs) on the floor to about knee height anything over 70lbs are placed on the floor period.. There are times in which light packages are placed on the ground due to they way they came up on the conveyor. If there was a package that is ripped or I can see the product on the inside I'll stop and tape it up to prevent further damage or loss of the product during shipment. All in all There will never be a "perfectly loaded" Semi Trailer and damaged packages. And thats how a lot of "shipping damage" is done.

Judging by the picture you posted it looks like they placed your springs on the floor and put another heavier package on top of it. We are told to stack using the Natural T method. Which locks the packages together preventing damage to the packages. Sometimes we are unable to use the natural T method and have to stack on top of another package.

If you ship USPS for packages, they put in a thick plastic bag, send it to FedEx smartpost then it gets abused there then sent back to the post office. FedEx is supposed to use a natural T but their system beats the crap out of it, then sends it down from a second story floor down a chute at about 500-600 an hour. Standard is supposed be 420 an hour, for the 5 lb -99.9 lb items. Your spring came down the chute, a trailer hitch followed, pancaked it, and the poor worker who got hit by both of them got fired, because the system broke the box. UPS is better. FedEx stock sits at 125+ per share, actual value based on assets and revenue it should be at $45. :hijack: Wish I could get in on this radflo group :( but I'll get them eventually. ;)
The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

Yeah, Mike and Johnny are about as far apart as you can be in the lower 48.

Rob and I are still in the $60's up here in NY too.... Regardless we're still getting a hell of a deal on these. $860 something is better than $1069 plus $60 shipping.
