Ahh, my miss understanding then, I thought you meant that their own online pricing was about that much more than the in store price, which can happen.

The only issue I have with Rock Auto, is often the savings in parts is chewed up quickly by the shipping and on some multi application listings for other models, I've had the wrong part sent, even when I order the correct one. Returning parts to them isn't saving any money that way either.

But I do still buy from them when I'm not in an immediate need of a part or parts.

I actually haven't found that much savings with Rock Auto, and you're right about their shipping. But this time on the TRE's they actually came out as cheaper, even with their slow shipping.

Kinda... 50% less rare... but you can still drive a long way with an inner TRE bent. Not so much with a broken UCA.

Actually from measurements it's probably around 40ft. It's not the stock 18.2ft turning radius that makes these things great.

My bent inners (happened twice) occurred during incidents where the outers bent first at the end of the threads where the bend starts on the non-threaded part. When overstressed, the side force from the bent part gets the weak part at the threaded end to break. But as it's deforming, the firce bends the inner tie rod shaft where you've seen. Here's the outer during one of those incidents.

While this doesn't change the fact, I got my hands on an HD tie rod end to show you the difference.

The Fabtechs are surprisingly really big in comparison. Even when compared to the OEM ones.

Thanks for the comparison Mike. I didn't realize how different the diameter was until you posted the pic of it against your rack. Have you decided to try Moogs? Rough Country sleeves?

I don't need tie rods, they're over rated.

Mike, I don't suppose you happened to take down the inside measurement of the rack with a pair of calipers did you?

Nope. If I had been more observant before I removed the tie rods I could of never unboxed these.
