Yeah Kaneman has a BL on his XL. He is a member here also now. I know he is out of town so he may not reply right a way.

Justin505 wrote:Also I have been looking into the body lift as well. But seems as if nobody has done it on the ext yet. From what I am reading, you would need to do a custom bracket for the radiator only? And is there any update on anyone doing this yet? I would assume it's not too far out of the question considering they have the same amount of body mounts.

I believe that kaneman was the first to body lift an XL-EXT. He has a I6 so the included bracket worked for him.
Mine will be body lifted on March 12. I have a V8 so we will have to come up with some sort of bracket for the radiator. I'm not worried about it since the master of metal bartonmd will also be there. I hope we can come up with something good so I can offer the BL to the V8 guys.
Has anybody body lifted a V8 yet?

Philberto being silly again.

Im curious as to how that goes. Keep me updated and some pics would be awesome. If i can get the body lift done on the ext v8 without too much customization that would be the final step.

I personally don't think i'm asking noob questions at all. I read that other thread and he was asking silly questions for sure. But I think mine are valid. I just asked a few questions before I went out and bought things, thats all. Would you go out and spend money without asking questions to people who have done the job already? They seemed valid to me.

I don't think he was intending to poke fun at you... but the other guy, yes.

Yeah that's true. I'm sorry again. Sometimes it takes a few hundred posts before your question gets answered and believe me if one of the Founders don't jump in to help then you're pretty much on your own. It doesn't help either that you're wanting to customize the truck for looks rather then mods for wheeling.

Your Quote: "I will never be doing any serious off roading, but I would love to be able to feel comfortable crossing small creeks and 25 degree angle medium to easy difficulty trails."The truck will do that now. Go for a drive in the woods. :raspberry:

Yeah well the serious stuff is for my dirt bikes and quads. And if it were for looks I would lift my f350 8 inches haha. But thats not practical. I just want to have some lift and some larger tires so I can haul all my stuff to our trailer in the mountains and then go fishing and hunting. Its colorado man, some of the best rivers and lakes are at 9,000 feet. :D And if I wanted to do "serious off-roading" i would do it in something much better for off-roading. Don't get me wrong, the trailblazer is a great GM vehicle but I wouldn't risk denting her up too much.
