Torsion Bar Level

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

Although I am a car enthusiast, I am very limited to my knowledge on trailblazers. I recently purchased one and there are a few things I want to upgrade. First is making the front and back level. I have read alot of post that talk about lifts but that is a task I would to avoid if I could. I was wondering if raising the torsion bars would level out the front and rear. If so, how much of a lift would it give the front so I know what size tire I can find on the truck.

Welcome Billy, first thing you should do is maybe change all your fluids, especially your xfercase fluid which should be changed every 50k with GM autotrac II.
We don't have torsion bars so the only way to level would be to either lift the front or use some kind of lowering spring for the rear.

Yeah, this is not an S-10 or a pre-2007 fullsize 4WD. We have coil-over shocks for both damping and spring/height in the front.

It sounds like you want the minimum kit to level you out.
I think the rough country kit is advertised as a "level kit".
It is about 2 inches of lift in the front and about 3/4 inch in the rear.
MarkMc(a forum vendor) has a couple of different options as well. His 2.5 inch kit might level you up if you just use his front spacer and not the optional "top" spacer for the front and run nothing in the rear. You can contact him directly for more info, he is great to work with and ships fast. It might give you a tad of front rake but you might not even notice it.

You might get more info reading through this thread as well.

You might check out the spring rates threads in this section as well. It may ultimately be cheaper for you to simply buy and replace your front springs (which are probably a bit worn anyway) with a slightly longer/higher rate spring if you are looking for 2 inches or less of lift in the front.

As an enthusiast you prolly need to crawl around your new ride and check out what it is and what it needs before modding it.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Some very good advice.

In all honestly, if you want to stay away from lifts, GMTNation might be the place for your quest.
