Dont you need the bds front plus marks top plate to get the same lift as marks new kit?

I'm not sure, Mark has never posted up official specs of his block sizes. It would be interesting to compare their sizes side-by-side and see exactly. But that's a good point. It was just interesting to note that the lifts were still similarly priced. For some reason I thought there was a bigger cost differential.

In my eyes, there are basically two options for maxing out the front suspension.

A - Mark's kit
B - BDS with upgraded front springs

Can Mark's kit handle upgraded front springs (Kyle, I can't recall if you upgraded yours or not, your build thread doesn't have any details of it)? Or will that max out the suspension too much? That's been my curiosity since Mark's lift came out. I'd be worried about being too close to the bottom out limit when sitting on pavement.

I have the 88s. Possibly the first set of them tried. They were on when my stock mounts broke. They work well w marks kit. Aligned out good. The weight of winch n bumper n armormay help.

I got about an inch going from marks old kit to new so i dont think the bds and marks plate is as much lift as marks new kit alone actually. I think marks old kit was same lift as bds w marks plate.

An inch seems like a lot. Did you have the top plate on Mark's old kit? I ditched the plate on my RC kit a long time ago and even with extended strut rods, I don't have a lot of down travel with 88s on. Another inch and a half and I'd be jumping over speed bumps.

I have the new lift and 88s. I went and found my thread on the 88 install and I got some of lift from the sag due to broken stock mounts. I had the plate w old kit then I took it off then I put it back on once springs wore in some. I will have to look back to find actual measurement but the new lift w 88s was an increase over old lift with inner and outer spacers and 88s.

I don't have much down travel, but w extra front weight it does ride ok. No worse than other lifted vehicles I been in recently.
