Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

going bigger (thoughts)

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

I was looking at that colorado and even with the large gap above the tire it seems that the fore and aft gaps would leave the tires rubbing and show they really don't fit.

It made me wonder you views on cutting the fenders. Could prove crucial in your tire fitment.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

the colorado was just for example with the gap above the wheel but i know what you mean. I have no views on cutting though lol, i mean i would rather steer clear of cutting alot of metal but i wouldn't be opposed to cutting some. The plastic liner can be trimmed more, as i don't have much trimmed out from the back yet. And the bolt that holds on the rocker cover could go, i mean its not like i have them on anyway lol

Ok, so i think i will soon stat my build thread from all this. lol.
Shocks and struts are ordered. I am going to dealership to see how much the springs will cost as i still get discount from when i worked there. If its still more than online ill just get through gm parts direct. Body lift blocks have been ordered. Need to get to fastenal for bolts. At risk of some "comments" lol, ill still say which tires i went with, I ended up choosing the Swamper M-16 radial in a 295/75/16. I would have went with hankooks in that size but the M-16's just pulled me in with the reviews and the already somewhat siped tread. Plus i found a really good deal on them online. Only thing left out so far is that darn steering extension for the body lift. Looks like ill have to be making one or just spending the 25 dollars to try one from an S10 just to see where it fares up. (unless someone can give a little help into one?)lol Now down the road i will get rear control arms to push the tires back, and i am just waiting on Mr. Barton to finish my bumper and i can throw that on, after the body lift is on anyway.
Once i have everything here and either put on or in the process of being put on ill take pictures and start a build thread
