Hello everyone. I'm currently working on my build. Suspension parts enroute. 3" Liftmeister in front and then I will level the back.
My endeavor to use somewhat wide wheels, but not have the wheels stick out too far. Needless to say, I've gone the adapter route. I initially thought that using 1" adapters seemed fine. And that grinding down the lugs didn't seem too crazy. However, I have started to have some mixed feelings about it. I'm wondering if there are big safety differences between the 1" and 1.5" or if it's basically sixes. Unfortunately, 1.25" adapters, have gone the way of unicorns. I don't know if I am just bad at searching, but I have not been able to find TBs running 1" adapters. Let alone, TBs with 1" adapters and 17x9.5 (6 offset) wheels. Maybe my pics will help someone that is looking for examples. So, here they are. Anyone that shares their opinion on if you think this wheel stick out too far, it's much appreciated. I have not ground down the lugs yet. I feel like right now, they are providing some indication of how much 1.5" adapters would push them out. I'm not sure if it's a valid one, but still a concern. I really don't want to getting any tickets for it. I'm pretty sure the 1", with ground lugs, will help me avoid that. When I measured how much the lugs stick out, it's about 1/3"
