Ok guys...now that I have my fully rebuilt front end with my fresh 4.10s and disco.....I need new shoes for my truck.
While I've generally been using BFG's in the past, and love them.....I'm not loving the $1200 installed price. So, I've been checking my options and came across these Falkens. Anyone have any experience with them? They look like decent tires, have a pretty good treadwear warranty, and, for my life in the northern states, they have the three peak snowflake winter rating. I've never used "off brand" tires before, so I'm hesitant.
Any opinions welcome
Btw...I'm running a set of factory Z71 18" Silverado rims....so I'm going to stick with the 31.5" 265/65R18's

I have heard some horrible traction stories with those tires. I have Cooper ATP on my Silverado now and the traction on those are pretty good so far.

On what kind of surfaces? I maybe off-road 10% of the time, most are highway (ugh) miles... Where I live in the Midwest, snow/ice is a HUGE factor, as it's probably the riskiest surface I'd drive on. I'm somewhat attracted to the Falken due to its three peak snowflake winter rating.

I heard it was on slick surfaces that it failed on. The specs look better on snow than off-road though.

Installed. Initial thoughts....balanced with less than an ounce each ..pretty good. Ride home, smooth.....feels really good, with little noise. Guy at Discount Tire who mounted and balanced them said he really liked how they looked and balanced up for such a large (?) tire.
I'm going to hit some local trails later today or tomorrow to get an initial impression of their off road feel....Will post when I get back. Right now, for a mall rated level of testing, I like them

They do look good on there! Your EXT is virtually identical to my '05, same colour, trim, and stance. I see we both have good taste in trucks.

The Falken Wildpeak AT's provide dependable road traction, but they have a tendency to wear fast.
