H3 16 X 7 Wheels with 285/75/R16?

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

I see some folks are running this combo. All tire companies seem to call for a min. 7.5" rim width. Anyone have anything negative to report regarding a 285 tire on 7" wide wheel?

I ran that size tire on 7in wheels for many years, still do on my old pickup as a matter of fact. You won't have any issues.

Isn't the H3 factory wheel 7.5" wide?

You sir, are correct. I based my assumption on an ebay listing that listed them as 16 X 7. They are in fact 16 x 7.5. I will be running this combo soon. Thanks
