wheel spacers

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

So I am looking at a pair of 1.25" spacers and was wondering how big/wide of tires can you run before needing the 1.5"spacer. Just want to make sure I have the option to go big in the future.

Just want to make sure you realize with the 1.25 spacers you'll need to grind down your lug studs so your rims will bolt on.

I don't think most folks would notice the .25 inch difference especially vs having to grind off the studs.

:Iagree: Tire clearance isn't the real issue, it's more about ease of use. Not to mention the only company I know of producing the 1.25" spacers are ezaccessory. They are not like by certain people on here. You would be better suited to purchase from site vendor MarkMC. His spacers are top notch and customer service is second to none. Prices are very reasonable as well.

I wish those greedy vendors would just quit building a 1/4" too-thin spacers.

There is a downside to the buyers, and no upside except cheap.

There is also no difference in the size of the tires you can mount. Actually, a 3/4" thick spacer would do fine for most of the tires that people would mount, except the spacer has to have a minimum thickness to hide the vehicle-side studs, and that's about 1.3" on the rear.

TBNewbie: did you mean you're looking at FOUR spacers, not just TWO? There's no way two spacers are going to be useful. What tires are you proposing to use?

Don't dick around, just get the 1.5" spacers so you dont waste time and money later buying them. I was going to get the 1.3" spacers but for the extra what, $20 I got the wider ones.
