Had to do quite a bit a cutting to get them to fit without rubbing. Still rub on the firewall / floorboard. Might try and beat the part in some or maybe cut it out and reform it. If I had to do it over I would have went with 33's.

Outstanding, Jeff! Once in a while, if I whack my LCA mount out of alignment and the wheel gets pushed back, I rub the floorboards too with 33's. Even 1/2" would go a long way to stop the rubbing, and I figured a sledge hitting it through some carpet scraps would reform the pan enough. I'll post pics if I do that.

Now get yourself a Tommy Lee Jones haircut and drive that thing around like an intergalactic secret agent's black Suburban. :excited:

I thought I might try a port-a-power and push it back. But yea a good beating might work!
I don't know about the Tommy Lee hair cut but I sure get some looks now!
I don't imagine I'll get to drive around long like I am now. No front plate, rear plate is covered by the spare tire, tinted windows, HID's and a pistol in the console!

Just let out your trail gangsta.

Wish I had access to portapower. Hmmmmm, Jaws of Life would be an awesome trail tool. :woot: But then an exo would be a better way to avoid needing one.

Looks good Jeff.

I swear 2002's must have different fenders or wheel placement. I'm just not having the clearance issues some people report.

Just did a second cut for clearance on mikepeters for his 315s. I think his is 02.

You didn't have to cut any?

Kyle did you have to cut more than just the fender on Mike's?

No but I have been planning to mod the firewall for awhile. I hit there w 33 and the 2 in body and still could on extreme stuff prior to new susp lift even w the 3. It doesn't hurt tire and the 35/15 setup doesn't seem to hit the firewall any worse.

Mike did a lot of cutting the bottom of the fender today, because it was rubbing like crazy... Moved the bolts to new holes to the rear, and cut a bunch out of the bottom pinch weld area...

Mike

Moved what bolts?
The bottom pinch weld? Is that the part inside the front fender down from the floor pan?

All I had to do was cut the part of the lower plastic piece that was in the wheel well as well as cutting out the frontmost bolt.

I'll be in the firewall before I hit anywhere else. Weird.

Figured cutting out the corner of the firewall there about 2" up or so and welding in a flat piece of plate shouldn't be too terrible to do. I'll wait until I see rub marks there first though.
