I was excited, until I saw a lack of photo documentation.

I'll post pics for the naysayers ;)

And I'll only have to trim a very small amount of the bottom rocker cover (I have a LTZ) If I didn't I'd be fine. It's a piece of plastic the size of a playing card on the inside of the fender. I won't have to trim my fender liners or anything

My worry isn't so much how they will handle normal wear and tear... but I wonder how they will handle the extreme sidewall and tread flexing during aired down wheeling. There's a lot of shear between the internal layers when the tire flexes around something.

I agree that wheeling can be rough on tires. I noticed this yesterday....

You should have seen my Michelin highway tires after I was done with them.

Very nice :friday: I know you've made a few suspension changes recently. What are you running now? Looks like Marks spacer w/Z71 in the rear. You said something about that rough country with 87s up front?

I've got z71's mark's spacer and a .75" rough country spacer in the rear (BDS shocks of course)
and
I've got 87's rough country internal/external spacer and (I believe it's fishstick's) washer stack on the shaft of the shock gave me about an extra inch-ish......I'm thinking about sticking a spacer (mark's or UHMW) on top of the strut as well. It was cranked up quite a bit before I put the tires on. I don't know exactly what I was before but I'm sitting around 38/39 on the front and 39/40 on the rear (ground to fender)

That tire size fits your truck and setup perfectly. Initial cost and appearance and tread looks pretty good, now lets get some offroad ratings on them!

I took them out down the abandoned railway tracks by my girlfriends house, and went through some mudholes and whatnot. I think they performed really well.......at throwing stuff all over the sides of my TB :) But they handled the mud holes well too

I'm torn between these and KM2's, but I think the 255/85 sizing availability will put me on the KM2's. Something to consider in the future though!

My tires came in this afternoon while I was out of town. My father took the truck down to the shop and got them mounted for me, and then had to call a cab because he couldn't get the truck out of the parking lot. I spent 3 hours cutting this evening, unfortunately it was primarily with a pair of tin snips, and ma now a bit lighter by about two inch's of fender. I did manage to get it home following my parking lot trimming. Tomorrow I will put the grinding wheel to it and smooth up my terrible cuts. I will get pictures posted soon.

My initial reactions: They are a huge improvement over what I had. The tires themselves look great, and the tire shop didn't believe me when I told them that the tires were re-treads. They feel great going down the road, and the tire hum is very minimal. This is my first set of MT's, so I didn't know what to expect for noise, I am pleasantly surprised.

I must have missed it but what size did you get? Just for my referrance, and what size spacers are you running?
