This makes sense.
I expect most running the 285's at least have to trim some fender lining if not more.
My 255's have done everything I have needed them to do but I fully expect my next set of tires to be 265/75/16.
The next time I get a little ahead I plan to order some spacers and then keep an eye on CL for some wheels.
I hate having to air down when going on the beach. I've been a few times without airing down but am nervous the whole time I am on the soft stuff because the other drivers don't always have a lot of sense.
