They were able to get mine done. I was using a Garmin for my speed for a while, after I got the PCM back the garmin matched up with the speedometer.

I work for LSx based performance shop and we took a look at the PCM on my 02 the other day. It would seem that GM cut a lot of corners on the PCM on the pre 06 trailblazers. We were able to change some shift points/pressures/times and adjust GM's pig rich tune. However there was no easy way to change the tire size, like there is in just about EVERY other PCM for an LSx based vehicle. Instead of a tire size or gear calculator like most other PCM's have, all you can change in these computers is a voltage reading that the computer uses calculate the transmission speed into an MPH readout. We looked at a couple of other cars that were on the dyno with 4l60e's and tried to figure out the calculations that way and then enter it into my PCM manually. It seemed to work well around town, but when I got on the freeway that night my tranny went crazy around 60MPH and started shifting back and forth through gears so fast I thought the engine was misfiring. So its back to the drawing board for MPH calculation.

Oh, and I'm running 255/75-17 Guard Dogs. So my MPH difference is the same as a lot of yours it would seem.

On a side note, if you're not running premium gas I would recommend it. After looking at some tables, my car was pulling up to 5* of timing on 87 octane. I found that a little surprising.

This could explain much of the problem that has plagued many of us during the warm-up cycle period with the PO300- codes.

Are you?

Would be the first case I've heard of.

How long have you had your Guard Dogs and how many miles?

Same. Mine have spun on rocks too... All I have is a shallow slice in one of my fronts where at full compression it informed me I hadn't cut enough fender.

How strange. This is the first time i've read this in dozens of hours of reading about these, hope it's isolated.
Have you contacted treadwright? Their customer service is suppose to be fantastic.

Matt did the video below, and about 15 minutes of spinning tires and rock stacking, and kicking out rocks before the video, and his aren't chunked at all... Just really worn on the front edges of the outside tread blocks...

I suspect you wheel in a place that has really sharp rocks, and since you weren't aired down, it not only made you spin more, but also made higher ground pressure, so the rocks that you were spinning on actually cut the tires...

But post some pics so we can see how bad it is...

Drove around today while we got some good slush on the roads from a little snow storm and the guard dogs were great. It's still snowing and I suspect we'll get it all to freeze on the roads tonight so I should get some experience with their behavior on the real slick stuff. Really enjoying these tires.
