Wheel centric is a waste if you ever plan to have more than one set of wheels or change wheels in the life of your truck. Also you have to have a matching spare and possibly could not borrow a spare if you happened to get 2 flats on a trip. I have 4 full sets of wheels and tires and have had several other sets all on my perfectly capable ebay spacers. Not one issue and mine are 1.3 inches. I take my time and DO NOT USE air or power tools on wheels, never have, so i get no vibrations with my spacers.

If you got money to waste, give it to fred. If you want a good product for a fair price, buy from Mark or ebay. They both accomplish the exact same thing, but fred's product could limit you in the future or a time of need.

ok trying like hell to find a 1.5 wheel spacer with a 6x127 to a 6x127 to keep my stock envoy rims, can anyone give me the link to this Mark person or any other company that has them. im having no luck on ebay

You'll probably find it called 6x5 more often than 6x127

I've had some bad experiences with wheel spacers in the past, and I'm looking to get my back spacing from a new wheel setup. However, I'm a little confused by what James meant by "obtaining a wheel with less than ~5".

A stock 16" wheel with a 1.5" spacer should have 4.5" of backspacing, correct? If so, why would a wheel with 5" of backspacing do just as well?

I've got an aftermarket wheel I'm looking into that comes in two sizes: 17x8 with +10mm offset OR 17x9 with -12mm offset. The 17x8 (+10mmET) will give me 4.9" of backspace, but if it's not as much backspace as the stock 16" wheel + 1.5" spacer, I plan to buy the 17x9 (-12mmET) wheels which will equate to 4.5" of backspace.

People do 1.5 inches to avoid cutting factory studs. You could do one inch and trim the studs

I just bought a set from the Lug Nut Guys on eBay and they even have 12.9 studs only hub centric

If you use Saab 97x wheels you don't need to cut the wheel studs, spacers I'm running 1.25" spacers, the wheels have a pocket between the stud holes so the .25" the studs stick out doesn't interfer with the wheel

So if I have 18x8 rims with a 5 3/4 back spacing how wide of a spacer do I need to put a 33" tire on my 04
