Always happy to see new products for our platform. Can't wait to see the finished product/prices. Hopefully with some bigger pictures.

Yes indeed I am always looking for something for the tb I am debating on putting up the funds for the design of new front tubular suspension that will also give us more lift but if I got people that were commuted in the process the final prices would be alot cheaper

As for the skid plates I will have pricing ready hopefully this wednesday...I've been working on this skid plate for almost a month now

Also will have bigger and better pictures Wednesday as well as pictures of installed and uninstalled

But I will definitely keeps you guys updated

Oh almost forgot to mention I'm in the process of designing a full underbelly skid system but that will be a couple months and a few pennies of my savings to design and build the first production model an then testing of course for durability and strength

I think a lot of people are waiting for someone to do that ... don't waist too much time with the skid plates and start working on the suspension .. come with some photos and you will see how much interest you'll get from all the guys from here !

Fine .. what ever you want , but remember , if you want to get rich , do the front control arms .
Steve agrees with you because he is up in the clouds with his truck and he doesn't care anymore about control arms ! :D

IMO, there's not much need for a trans skid, as the trans pan is like 8" up inside the frame, and I'm not sure anybody has ever hit it on anything... The fuel tank skid, however, is needed... I haven't had the time to make a metal one yet, and really haven't had the need, as I've dragged the $75 OEM plastic one all over creation, and it's held up fine. I actually accidently jacked up the whole rear of the vehicle on it when I was installing it... Having said that, if's not that strong up front, under the T-case, and the fiber/plastic won't hold up forever...

The front suspension drop, however, could be big, IMO, if done right, done inexpensively enough, and done so that a couple guys in their driveway can install it...

Steve said if you are tall enough you don't need skid plates :flex dirty:

Gas tank skid gets my vote!

Michael (MD_trailblazer), that skidplate is extremely thick... is that necessary? I've been running full aluminum skids up front that are (I think) 1/4" thick, and they've held up well.

IMHO, a radiator skid plate is a noisemaker that alerts you to an attempt to go over a too-tall rock. It shouldn't be used to lift you over an obstacle. The oil pan skid plate may need to support the weight of the vehicle for a second or two, but you shouldn't need to drop the vehicle on it from a height of a few inches, so 1/4" aluminum should be enough. I had my gas tank protector made as a tray with stiffening edges in steel, because I'd be in a world of hurt if I lost the tank while doing a solo trip.

most of the guys that are responding to you are rock guys.
over-built is better than under-built but over-priced is usually a hard sell.

The thickness could be a little much, or it could be not enough... Have to see the finished design, first, to say...

Michael, when you start into development of the fuel tank skid, I'll take mine in 1/4" aluminum.

Maybe we can put our heads together during TECORE (or before or after since you're local) and work on a design. I'm a mechanical engineer, so I have cool tools like 3D design and FEA stress analysis, etc.

And I'm just a cool guy who is kind of local who'd be willing to test out one of these tank skids! HAHA
