Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Hi Lift NOOB question alert!

Dumping ground for offroad Trailblazer or Envoy general discussion.

by navigator » Tue May 31, 2011 4:34 pm

I know most offroaders have a HiLift or farm jack or equivalent.
I can see the value when your tires get so large that your stock jack won't get you high enough to get the tire off.
I can see lifting your stuck vehicle so you can get something under the tires.
I know you can use it for a winch/come-a-long.

My question is if you don't have rock sliders and aftermarket bumpers what does the high lift attach to in order to lift you up.

I expect in the rear you could use the hitch as a point, what about the front/sides?

The wheel hooks are about the only way to do it other than the rear hitch/bumper, if you don't have sliders or a front bumper...

You can use it on the front tow hooks as well. Just make sure you keep a little distance incase it slips off, but iv done it before. Think of a Hi-Lift as the leatherman of offroaders

So does your winch, and your on-board air system. At least from the pics and videos that I have seen. :D

Maybe we have it backwards. They are the real off-roaders and they just get everything from you and let you carry all of the extra weight.
