This was by far the highlight of my 4 wheeling while on this trip. Moab was amazing - talk about an unlimited 4x4 playground!! We did the southern half of Fins & Things Trail in the Sand Flats Recreation Area. On several sites that rate trails on a 1-10 scale, this is somewhere between 4 and 5. I never could have made it with a stock TB but even my EXT was able to make it with ease most everywhere. I did drag one bolt on a frame cross member and the hitch once, but never got hung up. I've never driven on rock like this - the grit from all the tire traffic has created a sandpaper like finish that would allow a vehicle to make it up the inclines and descends that otherwise would result in complete loss of traction. There are a few of these in the video below... if you watch nothing else of it, check out these timestamps: 1:00, 2:30, 4:30, 5:55, 6:25, and 7:45.

Talk about an amazing campsite! We stayed in as many rustic campgrounds as possible... this was right in the Sand Flats Rec Area!

So much grip, didn't slip even when going down hill, twisting the axles, and full pressure in the tires!

I'm so jealous. Moab has been on my list for many years.looks like a great trip!
You should've hit up Mike Key. He's camped out there right now, wheeling in his big fancy power wagon.

Yeah it was amazing out there... I would spend a full week out there the next time I make it out. I went the first week of April but was only in Moab for a day and I wasn't sure who on here would be in the area.

If there's ever interest to get a trip together out in Moab in the next couple years, I would be game to make the trip back out there for sure!!
